In February 2023 Vrede Homestead was founded by Anette Janse van Rensburg. Our shop was made for one reason and one reason only... to share our love and passion for spice and herbs with the world. We take pride in our products and can say with a smile all our products are pure and organic, as well as hand packed with care.
We are located in the Western Cape in South Africa. Most of the products and blends are crafted by Anette herself. As well as fresh herbs and plants are grown on a small holding.
We hope to bring joy to you and your kitchen pantry.
Anette Janse van Rensburg grew up in a family who loved to cook and her two grandmothers were the reason behind her love for spices and herbs. She learned from a young age the differences between numerous spices and herbs by watching her grandmothers cook and lending a hand in the kitchen.
As she grew older and wiser she took her passion further and studied horticulture and had her own catering business.
Now in 2023 she decided to take things even further and start her very own herb and spice business.
